Girls place 14th in State Championships! On a cool Sunday afternoon, the girls fought their way through a very fast race to finish 14th. Everyone ran the correct course this time, and Championships were free of drama! Annie Monagle finished 12th (2nd team All-State) and qualified to run in the New England Championships next weekend in Thetford VT. Here are the results:
 

EP Girls Qualify for State Championships! In spite of the cold and controversy (the lemming effect was in play as the entire Class A field cut the course), the townie harriers took 7th place and qualified for the State Championships for the first time in four years! Annie Monagle earned 1st team All Class by finishing 4th in the race.  Here are the results:

Monagle and Costa run at Freshman States! Monday afternoon's chill did not slow down EP freshmen Annie Monagle and Laura Costa. The Freshman States were held at Goddard Park. Annie Monagle finished 3rd with a time of 15:46. Laura finished 37th with a time of 18:05. There were 113 girls in the race.

Monagle and Costa run the Brown Invitational (Freshman) Race! The field of 146 Freshman girls slogged their way through the mud and puddles at Goddard park on Sat Oct 15. In spite of the awful conditions, both girls ran their best pace times of the year! Annie Monagle was the Freshman Champion (2.5 miles in 16:07) while Laura Costa cruised to 33rd place with a time of 18:18. There were 146 girls in the race!

EP Girls take 6th in the rain and mud at the 61st Annual Columbus Day Race! Neither rain nor mud prevented the Townies from improving. Week to week things get better and better for this team. 7 of the 9 runners improved from last weeks pace on a much more challenging course. EP's top 5 runners were Annie Monagle, Ashley Boulais, Laura Costa, Kristen Silva and Jill Tente. Race results are available at coolrunning.com Here are the results:

Townies go 1-3 in season finale! 5 Metro Division teams started the day undefeated (EP was one of them). Even though the team ran very well, EP managed one victory over Mt. Hope, and finished the season 7-3 (good for 4th place). EP's top three runners were Annie Monagle, Ashley Boulais and Laura Costa. The Lady Townies now set their sights on the Class A meet (Oct 29th) to qualify for the State meet.

Townies take two (again)! EP lady harriers earned two more victories to go 6-0. EP got a forfeit from Hope High, and defeated Tolman High 22-36. EP was lead by the same three top runners, but the 4,4,6 spots held by Kristen Silva, Mary Costa and Jill Tente were the difference today! Here are the results:
 

Townies now 4-0! The lady harriers soundly defeated St. Rays (17-41) and Classical (17-42) on Monday at Colt State Park. Annie Monagle, Ashley Boulais and Laura Costa were EPs top three finishers. Here are the results:

Townies Take Two! EP started of the dual meet season with convincing wins against Mt. Pleasant (15-50) and Shea (15-45) at Slater Park. Ashley Boulais, Annie Monagle and Kristen Silva were the top three EP finishers. Here are the results:

2005 Captains named!
Seniors Mary Costa and Ashley Boulais were named as Captains for the 2005 season. Both girls are excellent students and four year runners!
